25 | This was a case management inspection conducted by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ariel Cazares, due to COVID-19 and precautionary measures. This case management inspection was conducted with Director Arpy Jahjah via a tele-inspection by use of FaceTime for the purpose of inspecting additional spaces to be added for use by the licensed facility.
At 8:26am LPA was guided through a tour of the facility. The facility is currently closed and there are no children in care at this time, therefore LPA did not observe any children. LPA was taken on tour of the classrooms, the outdoor playgrounds, and both the cafeteria and library that will be used as temporary space for children. This cafeteria will be sectioned out and will be used as an additional classroom for the purposes of complying with orders related to social distancing. The facility is not increasing their capacity and will continue to operate within capacity limits and conditions. The library located on the property but in the Church next door was inspected. This space will be used as a multipurpose room for additional. The facility has a carbon monoxide detector in the hallway that was functional and a fire extinguisher serviced June 19, 2019.
At 8:45am, LPA viewed a garden located outside the front of the facility that will be used for additional outdoor activity time. No hazards or need for correction were observed and the space. It is a secured and fenced area that can be used. This garden will be designated for preschool only. LPA requested photos of spaces once cleaned up and arranged with children's furniture. Based on the inspection on this date, the facility is in compliance and the cafeteria and library may be used as requested to comply with guidelines related to COVID-19, pending set up and photos to be submitted. This does not grant an increase to the license.
Exit interview was conducted with Director Arpy Jahjah. This report along with a copy of the appeal rights will be sent to the director via email with a read receipt or confirmation of receipt of email, which will act as the Applicants/Licensee’s signature. A copy of the signed report will also be sent to the Department. |
