25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nolan Tcheng conducted an unannounced annual random inspection to the above facility. At 12:07pm LPA met with licensee, Reyna Gonzalez. Also present during this inspection, Licensee’s husband. The licensee states that she currently has 4 children enrolled. A current children’s roster is available and is current. Licensee’s hours of operation are 7am-5pm Monday to Friday.
This is a one-story home which consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, day care room, kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, converted garage, front yard and backyard (fenced). The children use the living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, daycare room, bathroom and backyard. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: bedrooms and converted garage. All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. The licensee provides food for children in care.
The licensee states that 4 adults and 0 children currently live in the home. Licensee states that she currently has one assistant. All individuals present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in a licensed home. Per licensee, there are no weapons, firearms or bodies of water on the premises.
PHYSICAL PLANT
At 12:15pm LPA was lead on a tour of the facility by the licensee. Upon entry, the living room was reviewed. There are age appropriate toys for children in care. The tour continued through the dining room and kitchen. In the dining room, Emergency Disaster Plan, Parent’s Rights Poster and the Facility License are observed to be posted. The kitchen is safe and free of hazards. There are sharp knives kept high on the counter out of reach of children in care. The laundry room next to the kitchen leads to the back yard. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger are inaccessible to children. LPA observed cleaning supplies kept in the laundry room closet out of reach of children in care. The back yard was reviewed. There is a grass area with a small play structure and swings. There are equipment and toys for children in care to use. There are seasonal fruit trees that the licensee states the children enjoy eating.
