25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Alanna Gontarek and Cynthia Reyes conducted a Plan of Correction (POC) Inspection for the purpose of clearing citations from the Annual Inspection dated 11/21/2019. LPAs reviewed and received documentation requested to clear citations. Plan of Correction Letters were given on this date.
LPAs also amended citations dated 11/21/2019 due to the facility having a Teaching our Toddlers Skills (TOTS) Program, on-site located in rooms 5 and 6, which is under the Walnut Unified School DIstrict's jurisdiction.
Facility was also issued an advisory to ensure any program changes are reported timely to the department.
Director will be submitting a new Application (LIC 200A) with the request to decrease the capacity to 96 due to LPAs measurements taken on this date of rooms: 1, 2, 3, and 4, and the outdoor play yard with a capacity of 140, Due to the Exempt TOTS program utilizing the previous licensed classrooms 5 and 6.
LPAs advised Director to submit a waiver requesting for an outdoor shared and staggered play schedule between the exempt TOTS program and the facility's Preschool program.
Director states two TOTS children are included in Preschool program Rooms 3 & 4 daily during the hours of 9:00 am. and 10:00 am for curriculum purposes. The Director also states that per every two TOTS children, there is one TOTS teacher during the designated time in the Preschool program Rooms 3 & 4. Director stated a file is set up in the preschool program for the TOTS teachers and no file is needed for the TOTS children that attend the hour curriculum.
No updated fire clearance for the decrease is needed at this time per Regional Manager Ms. Ajao..
