25 | Licensing Program Analyst Warren Birks conducted a Case Management inspection to provide technical assistance (measuring) and observing an empty infant classroom (The Toddler Room). LPA met with Director Regina Ramirez who provided LPA with a tour of the facility.
LPA measured encumbered space (space not included such as changing tables, sinks and storage cabinets), LPA also measured an assumed space to be used as a nap area and the total space of the room. LPA concluded that the classroom minus the encumbered space and nap area can accommodate 12 infants. Note: The nap area was based on nap area in Infant Room two.
LPA informed Director that the overall capacity will be reduced due to the facility adding a napping area to a room with no nap area. LPA also informed Director that today's inspection is an assumption based on current observations. It is possible that the room capacity numbers may change (up or down) depending on how the napping area is set up.
Note: The measurements conducted during today's visit are assumptions and the actual measuring will take place after the napping area is completely installed. Once the actual measurements are conducted the License capacity will decrease.
Exit interview was conducted with Director Ramirez. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site inspection by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as will result in a $100 civil penalty. |
