25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) T. Tran arrived at the above facility to conduct a required inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with licensee, Silvia Torres and licensee's adult son. About 9:20 A.M. we toured the accessible areas of the home. All adults have fingerprinted cleared and associated to the licensed facility. Per licensee, currently there are no children in care.
LPA discussed the Covid-19 consolidation posting. LPA observed the hand sanitizer by the entry of the home. Per licensee, families will be greeting by the door, licensee will conduct Covid-19 screening and temperature check for the children, and have it log. The current hours of operation are from 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Monday through Friday.
This is a single dwelling home consists of a living room, 2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathroom, a den, a kitchen/laundry room, and a detached garage. Childcare conducted in the den. LPA observed two play pen and car bed in the den. The off-limits area is the living room, bedrooms, kitchen area, and detached garage. LPA observed the kitchen was completed with the remolding. Licensee will provide LPA photos of the safety gate blocking the kitchen entry and the living room to make it inaccessible to daycare children prior to receive daycare children. Licensees acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. LPA observed the enclosed backyard is free of hazardous objects. The outdoor patio is available for the daycare to utilize for outdoor eating and activities. LPA observed two outdoor dogs kept in the dog house. No body of water on the premises. Licensees is reminded that smoking is prohibited on the premises during hours of operation. LPA observed all posting requirements located in the office area accessible to all parents. Licensee had current CPR/First Aid certificates (Exp. 6/2023), fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide and smoke detector meet regulations. Cleaning materials and medications are inaccessible, Licensee stated there are no firearms in the home. The home conducted emergency disaster drill one every three months.
