25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Mary Silva and Nolan Tcheng conducted an unannounced case management inspection. Upon arrival Licensing staff met with Director's son Adi Mehta who informed Director Kalpana Mehta was not available at the time of LPA(s) arrival. Approximately at 10:00am director met with licensing staff. Per director facility is not operating due to renovations and construction. Per director facility has not been operating since 2022. Licensing staff did not observe children in the property.
Per Director they will continue to pay their annual fees but do not wish to be active. Licensing staff provided Director with an LIC 9211 Request for Inactive Status and requested they completed form during today's inspection. Facility will be placed in an inactive status request upon outstanding annual fee's are paid. Director is requesting to be inactive from 08/01/2023 to 08/01/2024.
Licensing staff reminded licensee that during inactive status:
- Annual Fees must be maintained.
- Care is not provided for children until license is active.
- Will inform Department if there are any changes to the dates noted above.
- Remain in compliance with laws and regulations upon reopening facility.
There are no deficiencies being cited during today's inspection, per California Title 22 regulations.
The notice of site inspection(LIC 9213) was given and must remain posted for a period of 30 days during hours of operation. Failure to maintain posting will result in a civil penalty of $100.00 dollars.
