A Required inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Timothy Fields. LPA met with Director of Programs (DOP) Margaret McMahon who guided LPA on a complete tour of the facility. Four classrooms are licensed under the Infant program however, two classroom are not in use due to enrollment.

One of the two classrooms is currently being used a conference room. Prior to use DOP was instructed to contact CCL to have the classrooms inspected to ensure compliance. Operating hours are 6:30am - 6pm Monday - Friday. Licensee has a toddler component attached to the infant license as well. Two separate classroom are used to operate the toddler component.

Infant classrooms #1 and #2 are not in use. LPA observed four teachers supervising seven infants in Infant classroom #3 and three teachers supervising seven infants in Infant classroom #4. Under the toddler component LPA observed two teachers supervising five children in Toddler #1 classroom and nine children supervised by three teachers in Toddler #2 classroom.

Each classroom was inspected for cleanliness and good repair. LPA observed age appropriate toys and equipment. Children's individual storage space was inspected. Some sleeping equipment was in use in both the infant and toddler components.

The remaining cots were stored appropriately. LPA observed a source of drinking water for age appropriate children. Baby bottles and milk were properly labeled and stored in the refrigerator. Sign-in sheets and children's daily feeding and changing schedules were reviewed. First aid kits including thermometer were inventoried. Lighting was in operable condition and carpets were clean.

The toddler restrooms were observed to be clean and in operable condition. Changing tables were within arms reach of a sink. The kitchen was inspected for cleanliness and good repair. Food was observed to be in good quality. Medication is stored in each classroom. Medication was observed to labeled and in good quality.
Then infant and toddler component have two separate playgrounds. Outdoor area and equipment was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. Required shade and fencing were inspected. Play area was inspected for hazards and inaccessibility to bodies of water. Teacher child ratios were observed and staff names recorded.

Staff and children records were reviewed for completeness including but not limited to Criminal Record Clearances for adults, and verification of CPR/First Aid. Review of the menu and remaining required forms that are to be posted in the facility were made.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. After a complete inspection of the facility, there were no deficiencies observed according to California Code of Regulations Title 22 Division 12 during today's inspection.

Exit interview conducted with director. Appeal Rights provided and explained. Notice of Site Visit must be posted for (30) days. Failure to do so may result in a $100.00 civil penalty.
