25 | On 10/17/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kruz Long conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPA Long was greeted by licensee, Soraida Hurtado. LPA observed 2 caregivers and 5 children in care. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 6 PM.
This is a single story house containing living room, kitchen, dining area, 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms and attached garage.
The day care takes place in the living room, dining area, hallway bathroom and rear yard.
Per Licensee, there are 4 adults living in the home (Licensee, husband and 2 adult children. All has criminal record clearance). The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated. Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working cellular telephone. Fireplace is securely screened. There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Licensee has current First Aid and CPR, expires 09/16/25. Outdoor play areas are fenced. Play yards, infant sleep plan and sleep log for infants were observed. Licensee provides snacks, breakfast and lunch to the children in care.
LPA reviewed children files; files were found to be complete. LPA reviewed staff files; files were found to be complete. Children and staff names were documented on LIC811 (confidential page).
