25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Martinez Garza conducted an unannounced 1-year required inspection at the above facility on 04/19/23 at 09:19AM. A COVID risk assessment was conducted upon entry- appropriate PPE was used inspection. LPA met with designated facility Director, Lisa Anand, who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. This is a preschool parent cooperative program licensed for 24 children which operates Monday and Friday 9:00AM-12:30PM, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00AM-2:30PM. Per the Director, there are 32 children enrolled.
All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. LPA observed 24 children with 06 working parents, 02 teachers and the Director. Teacher-child ratios were observed to be in accordance with Title 22 regulations. The Licensee is within the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license. Staff names were recorded. All children were observed to be under visual supervision of a teacher at all times.
Furniture and equipment was inspected for good repair, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Indoor classroom was inspected to ensure that the floors have a surface that is safe and clean. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free. At this time, the "meeting space" is used as an isolation area.
Snack menus were reviewed to ensure that they are being posted at least one week in advance and visible to an authorized representative. The facility provides AM/PM snack and children bring their own lunch. Parents take turns providing snacks and there is also emergency snack kept in stock. All kitchen, food preparation, and storage areas are clean, free of litter,rubbish, and rodents/vermin. All food is protected from contamination. Children bring their own water and facility refills water as needed. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins, have tight fitting covers on and are in good repair.
