32 | Due to Licensee operating from 6AM to 5:59AM, LPA discussed sleeping and napping arrangements for children in care. Per Licensee, if a child is enrolled that requires overnight care Licensee or an assistant will be awake at all times to ensure that child is being supervised as part of their sleeping plan. Currently there is no one that requires overnight care.
Currently, children are using the back yard for outdoor play time. The outdoor play area was observed to be fenced. LPA observed that the outdoor yard has toys and other materials for children to play with. LPA advised that the stacked boxes be removed since they were stacked high. Per Licensee, the boxes are trash and they are in the process of tossing them. The licensee states that supervision is always provided.
The licensee and other personnel have completed training on preventive health practices including Pediatric First Aid and CPR. The licensee's Pediatric First Aid and CPR expires on 01/27/24. There are first aid supplies available. LPA advised that if a child shows signs of illness he/she/they shall be separated from other children.
Children’s records were reviewed, including emergency information and were observed to be complete.
The licensee does have proof of immunization against influenza, pertussis, and measles.
LPA observed that the Licensee does not have proof of the Mandated Reporter AB 1207 compliant Child Care Training Certificate on file. LPA provided the information on how to take the training during the inspection.
All homes shall conduct fire and disaster drills at least once every six months, and document the date and time of each drill. Last drill documented was conducted on 04/06/22.
Licensee has 3 dogs and 1 cat. Per Licensee, dogs are in the dog run during the hours of operation and the cat will be located in an inaccessible area if children are in care.
LPA did not observe any pools, spas, hot tubs, fish ponds, or similar bodies of water during the inspection.
Emergency Disaster Plan, Parent’s Rights Poster and the Facility License were observed to be posted. Page 3 of 4 |
