Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nadia Flores met with the facility Director Mee Rah Kang and Vice Director Jihyun Kim, for the purpose of conducting an Annual Inspection for the Preschool. A tour of the facility was conducted. Upon arrival LPA observed 5 classrooms with a total of 44 preschool children and 8 staff along with 3 administrative staff for a total of 11 staff. The center operates Monday through Friday 7:30AM - 6:30PM. Facility is currently utilizing 5 classrooms Kitten (2yrs-3yrs), Koala (3.5yrs-4.5yrs), Chicks (1.5yrs-30 months), Puppy (2.5yrs-3.5yrs) and Pre-K (4.5yrs-5.5yrs).

Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. All rooms are clean and safe. Telephone service was verified. Heating, lighting, and ventilation are adequate. There are labeled cubbies for children's belongings. LPA observed age appropriate toys and materials. Drinking water is available inside the classrooms in the form of water fountains and children bring their own water bottles. Appropriate napping equipment is available (cots). There are 3 fire extinguishers in the premises in operable condition, smoke detector and a carbon monoxide detector as well. There are First Aid Kits available in every room where children are located.

LPA inspected and observed 4 clean bathrooms: Preschool Girls (3 toilets, 1 urinal and 2 sinks), Preschool Boys (2 toilet, 1 urinal and 2 sink), Toddlers (1 toilet, 1 training toilet, changing table and sink) and Staff (1 toilet and 1 sink). Toilets and sinks are functioning properly and are age appropriate. LPA observed soap, toilet paper and paper towels readily available. Additional sinks and water fountains are located in each of the classrooms. The Kitten's Classroom also has an additional toilet.

There is a clean kitchen (off limits) with refrigerator/freezer (4), a stove and microwave oven. The facility provides morning snack, lunch and dinner. Allergy lists are posted in the kitchen and in every room children are present. LPA observed an appropriate amount of food. The chemicals are kept separate from the food.

Outdoor play equipment was inspected for health, safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. The play area has concrete and rubber padding. The area was observed to be free of debris or other hazards. There are no accessible bodies of water near the play area. There is an area for shade and rest. Water fountains are available for drinking water, children also bring out their water bottles. The play area is separated into 3 areas. There is a large jungle gym, Little Tykes climbable and bikes. Large jungle gym is anchored.

Wellness Policy: Children are inspected for illnesses as they arrive. There is a separate area for isolation for ill children in the office area (cot available).

Teacher child ratios were observed and staff name recorded. Care and supervision was evaluated to determine if the basic needs of children are met and appropriate.
Children's records and staff records were reviewed. Staff are certified in Pediatric CPR/ First Aid expire 8/2021.

Sign in and out sheets were reviewed. The parent board was reviewed and has all of the required forms posted. Snack Menu is posted. Fire/earthquake drills current, the last fire drill was conducted in February 21,2020. Roster current.
