25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) R. Derraco conducted an unannounced required one year inspection to the above facility on 05/17/23. LPA arrived at the facility at 11:50 AM and met with licensee,Gisela Ibarra, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present during this inspection was S2. Per Licensee, there are 9 children that are currently enrolled. There were 6 children present upon arrival.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, and front yard (fenced). The off limit areas include 2 bedrooms.
The main care area is located in the living room. LPA observed age appropriate toys, wooden storage cubbies, education posters, child sized tables, child sized chairs, children's musical instruments, and a wall mounted television. Emergency Disaster Plan, Parent’s Rights Poster and the Facility License were observed to be posted outside of the front door. One bedrooms has been converted to be used for the day care. LPA observed a twin sized bed, additional toys, and two wood cribs folded away. Per licensee, 3 children are under 2 years old however they are able to climb out of the crib. LPA observed children in care napping on cots in the main care area. The kitchen was observed to have an elevated dining table. Knives and other sharp or pointy objects were observed to be locked using a magnet lock in a drawer next to the stove. Licensee states that she provides food for children in care. Licensee understands that food brought from home must be labeled and properly stored or refrigerated. A first aid kit was observed to be mounted on the wall in the kitchen. Per licensee, all drawers and cabinets accessible to children have a magnetic lock. A box mounted in the hallway wall labeled "poisons" was observed to be closed with a lock that requires a key. The bathroom was observed to be sanitary with an operable sink, faucet and toilet. A lock was observed beneath the bathroom sink making the contents inaccessible. The outdoor play area is located in the front yard and was observed to have perimeter fencing. Shade is provided by pop up tents. LPA observed additional toys, and outdoor play equipment in the front yard. Per licensee, isolation area for children showing signs of
