25 | On 08/22/24, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Kruz Long and Priscilla Ochoa conducted an unannounced Required 3 Year inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted. Upon arrival, LPAs was greeted by the licensee, Ingrid Reyes. LPAs observed 2 children in care. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 24 hours.
This is a single-story unit located as part of an apartment complex with a living room, dining room, kitchen, office, 1 bathroom and 2 bedrooms.
The day care takes place in the living room, dining room, bathroom and rear yard.
The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated. Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide detector, fully charged fire extinguisher, and mobile telephone service. The home provides safe toys, play equipment and materials. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Licensee has current First Aid and CPR, expires 07/29/26. Barriers between the kitchen and care areas were observed. There is a pet dog and per Licensee pet is locked in the rear yard during day care hours away from the children.
LPA reviewed children files; files were found to be complete. LPA reviewed staff files; files were found to be complete. Children and staff names were documented on LIC811 (confidential page).
The licensee has completed the online mandated reporter training at www.mandatedreporterca.com, expires on 10/16/25. All childcare employees must complete mandated reporter training within 30 days of hire and renew training every two years.
