25 | An Annual Random inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst, Jennifer Hua. LPA met with licensee. LPA toured child care areas. This is a single story home. Residing in facility are 3 adults and 0 children. Child care areas were inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. Day care days & Hours: M-F 630 AM-6 PM. Assistant Nadia Torres was also present and was with 2 children upon LPA's arrival. Licensee arrived about 10 minutes later. Assistant Olivia Marquez arrived during visit.
Areas used by children were inspected as follows: Day care room, Bathroom, and Back Yard
Per licensee, there are NO weapons, firearms, swimming pool or spa on the premises. The backyard is adequately fenced. There are age appropriate toys and equipment on the premises. The smoke detectors, carbon monoxide and fire extinguisher (2A 10BC) are in operable condition. Fire extinguisher was purchased on 5/1/19 as observed on the receipt.
Licensee is current in Pediatric CPR/First Aid. Certificate expires on 8/21/20. Assistant Nadia's certificate expires on 10/31/19.
Areas off limits include: Kitchen, living room, dining room, 2 bedroom, master bed with/bath, 1 bath room, and front yard.Rooms that are off-limits need to be made inaccessible during operating hours. Child Care Roster, Disaster Plan, Emergency Disaster Drill and Children's Records were reviewed. Drills were conducted on 8/21/19 as observed on drill log.
Children/staff records and required licensing forms were discussed as well as mandated child abuse reporting and criminal records clearance (finger prints and child abuse clearance) requirement. Affidavit Liability Insurance form in files reviewed. |
