25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Dayna Chambers and Rita Ramos conducted an unannounced annual random inspection to the above facility. LPAs met with Tammy Eley, Licensee, and assistant Ajiah Dunlap. Assistant Ajiah Dunlap is associated with the facility. Licensee guided analysts on a tour of the facility at 2:10pm The licensee states that 1 adult and 1 child currently live in the home. All adults present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, living, or volunteering in the licensed child care home. Per Licensee, there are 21 children that are currently enrolled. There were 13 children present upon arrival. Licensee states there is 1 infant currently enrolled. LPAs observed licensee is operating within the license capacity limitations. Licensee's hours of operation are 24/7. LPAs observed there are no firearms, weapons, pets, or bodies of water on the premises.
LPAs observed the Emergency Disaster Plan, Parent’s Rights Poster, and the Facility License were posted near the front door. A current children’s roster was available for review. LPAs requested a copy of the Mandated Reporter Certificate. Licensee has not taken the mandated reporter exam. This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 1 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, front yard, and backyard (fenced). LPAs observed the home has central heat and air. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: the licensee’s bedroom and the front yard. The licensee does provide food for children in care.
The children use the bathroom near kitchen. The restroom that children use was observed by LPA to be safe and sanitary. LPA observed during inspection in the bathroom and kitchen that detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger to children were stored in locked cabinets located in kitchen. The main play area is located in the living room. The dining room kitchen area is used for snacks and meals. ______ Page 1 of 4 |
