25 | Prior to entrance to the facility, LPA Mayra Rivera conducted a Covid 19 assessment and based on the responses to the facility assessment questions, LPA Rivera determined safe to proceed. On Monday, June 21, 2021 at 10:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mayra Rivera conducted a capacity increase inspection and met with Education Specialist Lety Rico and Supervisor Zayra Rodriguez who guided LPA Rivera on a tour of the facility
LPA Rivera was not able to conduct a full inspection due to Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is currently on summer vacation and the classrooms are under their annual summer cleaning. The furniture has been moved around by the janitor in order for the district to clean the classrooms and wax the floors. LPA Rivera observed in place storage cabinets and teacher rooms. LPA asked Lety and Zayra if the storage cabinets are going to stay or be removed. Both stated the cabinets are going to remain in the classrooms and no additional cabinets will be added. Based on the encumbered furniture in place, LPA Rivera was able to continue with the measurements of the three classrooms.
LPA Rivera outreached LPM Guangorena and RM Greene for advice in regards conducting a full inspection since the classrooms were not set up due to the annual cleaning. LPA informed the classrooms has the encumbered furniture in place but the areas such as dramatic play, blocks, library, manipulative and art have been moved around due to the annual cleaning. LPM and RM stated to continue with the measurements and confirm with staff that no more encumbered furniture will be added and to inform Lety to notify LPA Rivera once the classrooms are set up and ready.
