32 | Pertaining to the allegation “Staff isolates day-care child while in care” During the interviews conducted with children, parents and staff members there were no disclosures made that, “staff isolates day-care child while in care” Disclosures were made that children are escorted to the office to talk with the Administrator or Office Manager as an alternative form of discipline. Additional disclosures made where when children are bad, children go to the office staff. In the classroom teachers give children a first warning and when a child gets three warnings than the office staff talk to them.
This agency has investigated the complaint alleging there was a violation of
Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, Article 06, Section 101223(a)(3) “Personal Rights.” The complaint alleged that “Staff speaks inappropriately towards day-care child” and “Staff isolates daycare child while in care.”
Based upon the interviews and documentation as presented above, the allegations have been determined to be Unsubstantiated. A finding of Unsubstantiated means that although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur.
No citations are being issued for the allegations listed above.
An exit phone interview was conducted with Harishini Maddox, Administrator. Appeal Rights were verbally explained. A copy of this report has been signed by LPA Vasquez. This report along with Appeal Rights (LIC 9058) will be via e-mailed to Administrator, who understands that an electronic “Read Receipt” and/or confirmation of receipt of the e-mail confirms receipt of the report and constitutes an electronic signature.
