25 | 3/7/25, at 9:30AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) T. Tran and L. Voong arrived at the above licensed facility to conduct an annual random visit. Upon arrival, LPAs met with licensee, Evangelina Rangel, her employee, and 6 children in care. LPAs announced the purpose of today’s visit. About 10:00 AM, we toured the accessible areas of the home. All adults have fingerprinted cleared and associated to the licensed facility. LPAs observed proper care and supervision of children and ratios. The current hours of operation are 6:00AM-5:30PM; Monday through Friday.
LPAs observed all posting requirements for operation on the posting board LIC 203A-License, LIC-9213-Notice of site visit, LIC 610 A-Emergency Disaster Plan, LIC 9148-Earthquake Preparedness Check List, PUB 394-Notification of parent’s rights poster, PUB 269- Child Car Seat Law, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Shaken Baby Syndrome Poster, and safe sleep poster.
This is a single dwelling home consisting of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, dinning room, a kitchen, a family, addition room in the yard, and a detached garage.Childcare is conducted in the family room and the additional room. Children do have access to the two bedrooms the kitchen area. Children access the bathroom by the hallway. LPAs observed the kitchen has safety latched on the cabinets and no sharp objects or chemical compounds accessible to children in care. Children do not have access to the master bedroom and the garage. The licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. The enclosed backyard is observed to be clean with lots of learning materials available for children. The licensee is reminded that smoking is prohibited on the premises. LPAs informed the effects of lead exposure for children between ages 1-6 years old are the most at risk for lead poisoning. A copy of lead exposure was provided. |
