25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elka Chavez conducted an unannounced annual required inspection in Spanish to the above facility on 05/24/2022. LPA arrived at the facility at 1:15 PM and met with Licensee, Rosa Ramirez who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Entrance Checklist for Family Child Care Homes was provided to the licensee upon entry. Per Licensee, there are 5 children that are currently enrolled. A current children’s roster was available for review. There were 4 children present upon arrival.
This is a single-story home. The home consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room backyard (fenced), front yard (fenced) and detached garage. Areas accessible to children are: Bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, detached garage and back yard (fenced). Areas off limits to children and parents are: Drive way which is fenced off & front yard. Licensee was informed that the detached garage can only be used for activities. No eating, napping or toileting.
Individuals who reside in the home were noted and discussed. All adults present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance. Licensee states that there are no firearms stored in the home.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. There is telephone service via a landline and cell phone that is used. Safe toys play equipment and materials were observed. Detergents, cleaning compounds and other items which could pose a danger to children were observed to be kept under the kitchen sink with a child safety latch making them inaccessible to children. The licensee states that there are no poisons in the home and understands that storage areas for poisons must be locked with a key or combination lock. The restroom that children use was observed to be safe and sanitary. |
