25 | On February 22, 2024, at 8:50 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kruz Long conducted an unannounced Required 3 Year inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPA was greeted by licensee Maria Ochoa. LPA observed 6 toddlers in care. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6AM to 6PM.
This is a 2 story house: 1st floor contains a living room, kitchen, dining area, enclosed patio, family room, 3 bedrooms, detached garage, and 2 bathrooms. 2nd floor contains 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The day care takes place in the enclosed patio, family room, 1st floor bedroom, first floor bathroom and fenced rear yard.
Per Licensee, there are 4 adults living in the home (Licensee, Co-Licensee, father and brother), all having criminal record clearance. The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated. Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored and locked the kitchen cabinet and are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working land line telephone. There are age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Licensee has current First Aid and CPR which expires on 03/05/24. LPA reviewed children files; files were found to be complete. LPA reviewed staff files; files were found to be complete. Per the licensee, fire and disaster drills are conducted every 6 months; last drill documented and conducted on 02/13/24.
