On 11/3/2020, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ariel Cazares met with Director Cynthia Reimers of the licensed facility via FaceTime.

The purpose of the visit was to provide technical assistance to the facility that has been granted a waiver to temporarily commingle infants from the infant component (#198012252) with the preschool children. This waiver will be used to due to the spread of COVID-19 in Southern/Northern California.

The child care will be operated Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm and under the waiver the infant and preschool children can commingle in the classroom. There was no waiver to increase capacity. Should the facility need to increase capacity beyond what has been approved in the waiver or any changes to the conditions of the waiver occur, Children's Montessori Center shall notify the Monterey Park Child Care Regional Office.

At 12:30 pm, the Director guided LPA on a tour of the facility. The preschool consists of 6 classrooms, 2 are currently being used. The toddler component has a separate classroom not being used. Check-in will take place at the entrance of the facility, outside.

Postings and sign in is placed outdoors. Health checks are conducted at check in. If child/ren become ill during the course of the day, they will be placed in the isolation area in the office with director or sick child room adjacent to the foyer.
