25 | On February 8, 2024 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Monique Ayala and Saul Valenzuela conducted an unannounced Required 3 Year inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPAs were greeted by licensee, Aurys Carrillo who guided LPAs on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 8 children in care. Per licensee there are 11 children in care, 2 of them being infants. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6AM to 6PM.
This is a single-story house with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, , laundry area that remains locked at all times, living room, dining room, kitchen, kitchenette, day care room, enclosed patio (in between the day care room and main house/living room, used for activities and completely fenced in outdoor play area.
The day care takes place in day care room, enclosed patio, bathroom located in the day care room, kitchenette located in day care room and fenced in outside play area. Infants nap in the living room where they are placed in cribs. LPAs observed sleeping logs.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPAs observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working telephone.
There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Licensee has current First Aid and CPR, expires 03/03/2025.
LPA reviewed children files; files were found to be complete. LPAs reviewed staff files and were found to not be complete. Children and staff names were documented on LIC811 (confidential page).
