25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susann Sanchez conducted an unannounced annual random inspection to the above facility. Upon arrival, LPA met with Licensee, Juanita Clark, who guided LPA on a tour of the facility at 1:40PM. The licensee states that 2 adults currently live in the home. All adults present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, living, or volunteering in the licensed child care home.
Per Licensee, there are 8 children that are currently enrolled. There was 1 child, 1 schoolage, and 1 infant present upon arrival. Licensee states there are 1 infant currently enrolled. LPA observed licensee is operating within the license capacity limitations. Licensee's hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm. Per Licensee there are no firearms, weapons, pets, or bodies of water on the premises.
LPA observed the Emergency Disaster Plan, Parent’s Rights Poster, and the Facility License were posted in the living room. A current children’s roster was available for review. This is a one story home which consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen with dining area, living room, front yard, and backyard (fenced). Off limit areas include: 2 Bedrooms, detached garage and laundry room (locked). LPA inspected back yard and found the detached garage and laundry room locked. There are two wall heaters in the living room area and are barricaded.
The licensee does provide food for children in care. All areas identified on the facility sketch that children use, were inspected for safety, comfort, telephone service (cell phone) , ventilation and heating (central). The following was observed and reviewed during this inspection.
PHYSICAL PLANT
Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger are inaccessible to children. Licensee's state that all poisons and clean compounds are kept in a locked outside in garage. |
