25 | On August 18, 2020 at 9:15 am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mayra Rivera conducted an announced via teleconference case management inspection for reopening of the facility due March 16, 2020 precautionary closure and due to open Monday August 31, 2020. This inspection conducted by LPA Rivera, due to COVID 19 and precautionary measures was conducted via teleconference using Zoom with Program Director Matthew Kennedy who guided LPA Rivera on a tour of the facility.
Facility is currently licensed for a capacity of 82 children. LPA met with Matthew Kennedy, Site Supervisor Director who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. This is a preschool program with a toddler component. The program consists of a full day preschool program in Rooms 8h-A, 8h-B, 9I-A.d 9I=B and Toddler full day program in Room T5F, T6F, and Inclusion room. The program operates from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. A part time Early Intervention Toddler program operates 9:00 am-12:00 pm and 2:00pm - 5:00pm. Preschool classrooms a 6ft partition have been put in place to split the rooms. Each preschool room will have 10:1 group size. Toddlers rooms group size will be 8:1. The program have established a staggered schedule. Children will wash hands during arrival, group transitions, and meal time. Each child will be in a individual learning station and will be provided own materials. Drop off and pick up for preschool will take place on the entrance of 54th St and Toddlers drop off and pick up on Central Ave. Staggered schedule 10 min have been advised to parents and if it gets busy, floor marking have been put in place to meet the 6ft distancing for parents to stand. A desk will be put in place in the entrance for sign in and out and health screening will take place at the entrance. Staff will guide the children to the assign classroom and two-way radios will be used to communicate within staff. Multiple pens will be provided and sanitize by placing them in used bin. Water availability by having a water dispenser in classroom with disposable cups. Children shoes are remove upon entering the classroom as facility provides non- skid socks.
Cleaning compounds are stored in janitorial closet locked located in the hallway. In classrooms the cleaning sprays are located in the locked cabinets made inaccessible to children.
