25 | On May 9, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year inspection at the above facility. Inspection was conducted in Spanish. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPA Ayala was greeted by licensee, Ana Oritz who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 1 child in care. LPA observed a current Child Care Facility Roster. LPA observed 3 children files contained all required licensing documents. Per Licensing Information System, facility annual fees were current. The licensee is operating within proper capacity and ratios. LPA observed licensee to be present at the home and providing adequate care and supervision. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The home is a single story house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms detached garage that remains locked at all times, laundry area with chemicals and cleaning compounds inaccessible to children in care, living room, dinning room, kitchen, front yard and completely fenced rear yard. Licensee has 4 dogs and 2 birds at the facility. Per licensee, all dogs are current with vaccinations.
The day care takes place in living room, dinning room, hallway bathroom and front part of the rear yard. The back part of the backyard is off limits and there is a wooden gate that remains locked during day care hours. The home is clean, orderly, comfortable and well ventilated.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide, fully charged fire extinguisher and working telephone. There are several age appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. The licensee has current CPR and first aid that expires 02/05/2024.
