25 | An announced pre-licensing site inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Crystal Green to inspect and measure facility for capacity determination. Licensee is seeking to add a toddler option to the preschool license. LPA Green met with Director, Renae Plant, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. This proposed Toddler Option program will operate from Monday through Friday 8AM - 6PM.

This facility is currently operating and a total of 64 children with 13 staff were observed. During this inspection, LPA observed the (2) proposed rooms for the Toddler Option and the designated outdoor area for Toddler Option. LPA observed the area to be physically separated from the Preschool. LPA inspected this area and observed it to be free of immediate hazards. There are doors and large sliding windows in both areas to provide ventilation. There is a fire extinguisher and functioning carbon monoxide detector in proposed toddler area. LPA observed portable drinking water available in classroom. There is a kitchen area located near the proposed toddler classrooms available for meals and snacks preparation. The main office will be used as the designated ill isolation area for sick children. The staff restroom will be used for ill children. Parents will provide snacks and their child lunches. There is adequate shade in outdoor play area. All areas around or under high climbing equipment and slides are cushioned with material to absorb a fall.
