1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	An unannounced Annual Required Inspection was conducted on 3/5/2020 at 2:15 PM by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Katrina Chicote and Denise Gibbs. Facility is currently licensed for a capacity of 25 children. Licensing staff met with Leticha Toney, Director. The program currently operates Monday thru Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM. LPAs were taken on a guided tour of the facility of both indoors and outdoors. At the initial start of the site visit, there is a total census of 12 children and a total census of 1 teacher present. The facility is made up of 1 room, facility is attached to an Infant Center (Fac #198014887). Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. There were cubbies observed as storage for children's belongings. Mats/cots were inspected. LPAs observed children using standard blue cots. Per Director, linens are provided by the facility and washed weekly. Availability of drinking water was reviewed. LPAs observed water pitcher in classroom. Age appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperature, toilet paper, area safety and sanitation. Toys observed to be clean. A first aid kit is kept in in the classroom, hung on the wall by the bathroom. Carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors are present in the facility. Hazardous items including poisonous cleaning compounds were stored inaccessible to children. Facility provides breakfast, lunch, and snack. Snack/lunch menus were reviewed. Food and snacks were reviewed for availability, quantity and appropriateness to children in care. Food preparation areas were toured for safety, cleanliness and proper equipment. Outdoor equipment was inspected for safety. LPAs observed play structure secured to the ground, cushioning material all through out, and bicycles in good repair through out yard. LPAs advised Director that the children need to be within the direct care and supervision, including visual supervision of the teacher(s) at all times. Per Director, water jugs and cups are brought out for children to drink. LPAs did not observe any bodies of water on premises.

Teacher-child ratios were observed and staff names recorded. Care and supervision was evaluated to determine if the basic needs of children are met and appropriate. Sign-in and out sheets and procedures were reviewed. Personal Rights of children were observed by LPA. Staff and Children’s Records were reviewed. All staff have Criminal Record Clearance.

The following were discussed with the Director:
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA provided a complete packet of the Provider Information Network (PIN) 20-02-CCP dated February 12, 2020 regarding Coronavirus Information during today’s inspection.

The facility was found in compliance per Title 22 regulations, there will be no deficiencies cited today 3/5/2020.

The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site inspection by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.

Exit interview was conducted with Leticha Toney, Director on 3/5/2020. A copy of this report was given and appeal rights were issued and discussed.
