Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Crystal Green conducted an unannounced case management licensee initiated inspection. This facility is currently licensed to care for a capacity of 37 (17 Infants and 20 Toddlers). The licensee is requesting to remove the toddler option program from the capacity and increase infant capacity from 17 Infants to 37 Infants. Due to COVID- 19 precautionary measures, individuals present during inspection wore appropriate personal protective equipment. Licensing staff met with Director Janie Ho. A preschool program (198015253) operates on the same premises as the infant program.

At 10:29 AM, LPA was provided a tour of the facility's licensed infant areas and the toddler option classroom that will be removed from the license and used as additional infant classroom space. There is no change to the overall capacity of the license. The existing classroom licensed for use under the toddler program is named the Elephant Room. Per Director, the licensee is requesting to remove the Elephant Room as designated usage for toddlers and add additional classroom space for Infants. The classroom name will remain the same. During this inspection, LPA observed ten infants in the Panda Room with three staff members. LPA observed 5 toddlers and 2 staff in the Elephant Room. The facility was observed to be operating within its licensed capacity. LPA inspected the Elephant Room and observed a changing table available along with age-appropriate furniture and equipment.

There is adequate shade in the outdoor play area. The outdoor play equipment was observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. The outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition as it is free of hazards. The outdoor play equipment was observed to be age appropriate.

At this time, the facility was observed operating in compliance with California Title 22 Regulations. The classrooms licensed for use by Infants will be the Pandas Room and the Elephant Room. There is an approved Fire Clearance on file from Pasadena Fire Department, and the Infant program's capacity will be (thirty-seven) 37 infants. Report Continues Page 1 of 2.
