25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Crystal Green and Enjoli Maeweather conducted an unannounced case management inspection on 10/17/2022. A COVID 19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. LPA arrived at the facility at 10:07 am and met with Lead Teacher, Robbye Hillbruner, who provided a tour of the facility. There were 40 children and 7 staff present during the inspection.
The purpose of today's inspection is to go over the water lead test results received on 08/23/2022. Results indicate that 3 water sources had action level exceedance of lead. The water fountain (sample) located outdoor in the playarea had a lead result of 14.000. The sink (sample) faucet in the kitchen area had a lead result of 6.000. The sink (sample) faucet located in Room 3 had a lead result of 19.000. LPA observed that water fountain located outdoors was made inaccessible through signage with bags and tape to make them inaccessible to children in care. The sink faucet located in the kitchen area and in classroom 3 has been replaced on 09/19/2022. LPA obtained work order reflecting the replacements.
LPA spoke with the lead teacher who stated that the children bring their own lunch and water from home in their personal drinking container. If children forget to bring water from home, they are provided with a paper cup. Facility also has water delivered and LPA observed one water cooler in rooms 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. LPA took pictures of the water faucet and water fountain during the inspection. Per Facility Representative, facility has cease using the water faucets for drinking and food preparation as a COVID precautionary measure since 2020.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Facility Representative Robbye Hillbruner. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
