25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Crystal Green and Jonah Myson conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPAs met with Licensee, Ema Boulghourjian, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present during this inspection was Licensee Assistant, Mary Agulian. There were 7 children present, 3 being infants. The licensee states that there are currently 8 children enrolled, children's roster was reviewed and is current. Per license operating hours are from 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
This is a one story home which consists of 4 bedrooms, back den (day care room), front den (TV room), 3 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room (FIREPLACE: there is a fireplace which is inaccessible), detached room in the backyard, front yard, and backyard (fenced).The children use the bathroom in the hallway, back den (day-care room), two bedrooms, and backyard (fenced). Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: living room, dining room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathroom, 1 den (TV Room), detached room, and front yard. The licensee provides food for children in care. The licensee state that 3 adults and 0 children live in the home. Licensee states that she currently has one assistant. All individuals present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in a licensed home. The following was observed during this inspection.
Areas accessible to children were inspected to ensure that they are clean and orderly with ventilation and heating for safety and comfort. There is a working telephone service maintained in the home. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which can pose a danger to children are inaccessible in all areas of the home. The licensee states that there are no poisons in the home. The licensee does understand that poison must be locked with a key or combination lock.
Per licensee, there are no weapons, firearms or bodies of water on the premises. There were safe toys, play equipment, and materials observed for children. Emergency Disaster Plan, Parent’s Rights Poster, and the Facility License are observed to be posted. Report Continues Page 1 of 3. |
