25 | On 07/11/2024 at 1:40 PM an Uunannounced Annual/Random Inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Katrina Chicote and Peter Bishop. LPAs announced purpose of visit and initially met with Office Administrator, who allowed entry to facility. Facility is currently licensed for a capacity of 175 and per Facility Roster have 153 enrolled. The program currently operates Monday thru Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. LPAs were taken on a guided tour of the facility of both indoors and outdoors by Facility Representative (FR), Mea Smith. Required postings were observed. LIC 125 was provided.
The facility is made up of seven classrooms: RM-1, RM-2, RM-3, RM-4, RM-5, RM-6, and RM-7. At the initial start of the site visit, LPAs observed that children were transitioning out of nap time. LPAs observed RM-1 to have eight children with three staff, RM-2 to have six children with three staff, RM-3 to have five children with three staff, RM-4 with five staff with three staff, RM-5 with seven children with three staff, RM-6 with 14 children with three staff, RM-7 with three kids with three staff. LPAs observed total census of 48 children and a total census of 24 staff present at time of inspection.
Beginning at 2:00 PM, furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair in each classroom. LPAs observed surface of classrooms to be safe and clean, and child size tables and chairs available for children with rounded edges and well maintained. LPAs observed learning stations for dramatic play, math, and science with a variety of age appropriate toys maintained free of loose and sharp parts and a library area available for quiet play. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. There were cubbies observed as storage for children's belongings. Cots were inspected and observed stored in a closet. LPAs observed cots laid out for nap time in a way that does not hinder walkways or entrances. Per FR linens are provided by the facility and washed by weekly laundry service. Availability of drinking water was reviewed. LPAs observed drinking fountains available for children and children's personal water bottles. Age appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperature, toilet paper, area safety and sanitation. LPAs observed shared bathrooms available for RM-1 and RM-2, RM-4 and RM-5,
