25 | 5/29/24, about 10:30AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) T. Tran arrived at the above licensed facility to conduct an annual inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with Facility Representative (FR), Michelle Alaniz, Child Development Site Supervisor. About 10:50 AM, we toured all the accessible areas. All adults have fingerprinted cleared and associated to the licensed facility. LPA observed proper care and supervision of children and ratios. The current hours of operation are 8:00AM-3:00PM; Monday through Friday.
This is an Infant Program only providing care for toddler children. There is no extended care offered. LPA observed all posting requirements for operation on the posting board LIC 203A-License, LIC 610 A-Emergency Disaster Plan, LIC 9148-Earthquake Preparedness Check List, PUB 394-Notification of parent’s rights poster, LIC 613A- Personal Rights, PUB 269- Child Car Seat Law, Menus, and Activity Schedule. Children records were reviewed for completed. Staff records located at the main office. LPA will arrange another visit for files review. LPA observed current CPR and First Aid Certification for all center staff.
Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. Children napping equipment met the requirement regulation. Storage for children's belongings, bathrooms facilities, and isolation areas were inspected. Facility provided filtered water and disposable cups for children indoor and outdoor. First Aid supplies were inventoried. A review of medication policy, including administering, labeling, storage, and records was made. Documentation of current Fire & Earthquake drill was observed.
Facility provided breakfast, lunch and snacks. LPA observed menus posted. All food items were delivered daily to the facility from the private vendor.
Outdoor play area observed. Outdoor equipment was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. Required shade, drinking water and fencing were inspected. Play area was inspected for hazards and inaccessibility to bodies of water.
LPA informed of the responsibility to report suspected Child Abuse by calling the Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-540-4000. Also call the Community Care Licensing office and follow up with a written Unusual Incident/Injury Report (LIC 624B). |
