25 | INSPECTION CONDUCTED IN PARTIAL SPANISH Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Denise Gibbs conducted an unannounced annual random inspection to the above facility. LPA met with Lenonor Sanabria, Licensee who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present during this inspection, was Carolina Carrasco Melo, Lenonor Gastelum, Licensee’s Assistants and Jose Sanabria, Licensee's husband. Per Licensee, there are 9 children that are currently enrolled. A current children’s roster was available for review. There were 7 children present upon arrival.
This is a one-story home which consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, front yard and backyard (fenced). Main care is provided in the living room and front yard. The children use the bathroom in the hallway. LPA observed a barricaded wall heater in main care area. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen (gate) and backyard. The licensee provides food for children in care. Hours of operation are Mon-Fri 5am-12am. Saturdays are optional.
The licensee states that 3 adults and 6 children (4 her own and 2 foster) currently live in the home. Per Licensee, she currently has 2 assistants. All adults present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in the licensed child care home. Licensee states that there are no firearms or weapons stored in the home.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. There is telephone service via a landline that is used and the stays at the facility during operation hours. There is ventilation and heating (wall air conditioner and a wall heater).
