25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Warren Birks conducted an unannounced random inspection. LPA met with Licensee Ariana Griffin and cleared assistant. Upon arrival, LPA observed 8 children (4 preschool, 4 infants). There are 10 children enrolled.
The following deficiencies have been corrected:
1. If no assistant provider is present at a Large Family Child Care Home, then the licensee shall comply with the capacity requirements for a Small Family Child Care Home as specified in subsections (b) and (c). The Licensee and cleared assistant were within Title 22 ratio and capacity requirements.
2. Licensee removed accessible saucer chair.
LPA reminded licensee of Items not permitted in Licensed facility (Napping Rockers, bouncers, car seats, saucer chairs). LPA also reminded Licensee to always make ensure that items such as medicines, perfumes, cosmetics, mouth wash, shampoos, lotions are always inaccessible to children. Inaccessibility means locked away or out of reach if they are placed in a high storage area (5 feet or higher).
LPA provided Licensee Griffin with a form that illustrates examples of compliant ratio and capacity.
All deficiencies have been cleared and there are no citations at this time.
