13 | An unannounced complaint inspection was made on this day by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ariel Cazares to the licensed day care. LPA met with Assistant Edwin Cardenas to discuss the above allegation, as Licensee was not present at the time. LPA observed 8 children and a total of 3 staff in the home.
An investigation was conducted and completed by LPA Ariel Cazares. LPA conducted interviews with complainant, staff, and children. Per complainant, they observed the facility with 13 children in care and observed 5 additional children entering the home from the park as they were leaving the facility. This would bring the census to 18 with a total of 3 staff.
LPA conducted interviews with staff and licensee. There were no disclosures from any staff that the facility operates overcapacity or out of ratio. LPA reviewed roster, files, and a food program list via licensee's tablet that showed facility claimed 14 children's meals on the date (6/5/19) the alleged overcapacity occurred. LPA observed on the food program list that up to 14 children are claimed at one time. |
