25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susann Sanchez and Licensing Program Manager Trevino Crohran (LPM) conducted an unannounced random inspection to the above facility. LPA met with Laeuria Elliott, Licensee mother who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present during this inspection were two licensee’s Assistant. Licensee arrived during inspection and continued the tour. The licensee states that she currently has 23 children enrolled. During inspection nine children and two infants were present. A current children’s roster is available and is current.
This is a two-story home which consists of five bedrooms, four bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room and side-yard. The children use the the learning room, two nap rooms, bathroom in the hallway, the bathroom on the right nap room, living room, dining room area, front and side yard. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: upstairs and both bedrooms located downstairs. The back yard is also off-limits. The licensee provides food for children in care.
The licensee states that two adults and two children currently live in the home. Licensee states that she currently has four assistant. All individuals present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in a licensed home.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that children use, were inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, ventilation and heating (central). The following was observed and reviewed during this inspection.
PHYSICAL PLANT
Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger are inaccessible to children. Poison is locked in the garage and some under the sink in the kitchen that was also locked. The licensee states that there are no poisons in the home and understands that storage areas for poisons must be locked.PAGE - 01 of 03 |
