25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susann Sanchez conducted an unannounced random 1 year inspection to the above facility. LPA met with Yolanda Elliott, Licensee who guided analyst on a tour of the facility at 11:35am. Also present during this inspection were one licensee’s assistant. During inspection 3 children and 1 infants were present. A current children’s roster is available and is current.
This is a two-story home which consists of five bedrooms, four bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, office, den, living room, learning room, and side-yards (2) backyard and front yard. The children use the the learning room, two nap rooms, bathroom in the hallway, the bathroom on the right nap room, living room, dining room area, front and side yard. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: upstairs, office, den and garage. The back yard and right side yard of the house is also off-limits. The licensee provides food for children in care.
The licensee states that two adults currently live in the home. Licensee states that she currently has one assistant. All individuals present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in a licensed home.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that children use, were inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, ventilation and heating (central). The following was observed and reviewed during this inspection.
PHYSICAL PLANT
Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger are inaccessible to children. Cleaning products is locked in the garage and some under the sink in the kitchen that was also locked. The licensee states that there are no poisons in the home and understands that storage areas for poisons must be locked.PAGE - 01 of 03 |
