25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Crystal Green conducted an unannounced case management licensee initiated inspection to inspect and measure facility for capacity increase determination. Licensee is requesting to increase capacity to their existing license. Due to COVID- 19 precautionary measures were taken, individuals present during inspection wore appropriate personal protective equipment. Licensing staff met with Site Director, Lourdes Montoya. There is also a preschool program (198016995) that operates on the same premises as the infant program. There are no shared areas between the infant and preschool program. The facility hours of operation are Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM. Parents have the option of entering the facility through the ground level plaza entrance or the lower level garage entrance. Both entrance areas require an access card to gain entrance.
LPA was provided a tour of the facility’s existing licensed infants areas and the proposed additional classroom space. The existing classrooms licensed for use under the infant program are the Lullaby Room, Rainbow Room, and Huggable Hill Room. Per Director, licensee is requesting to expand the infant capacity by adding classroom 2 to Huggable Hill Room located on Level 1. LPA inspected classroom 2 area and observed a changing table available along with 1 toilet and 1 sink located in the classroom. There was age appropriate furniture available. Toys were observed to be clean and safe. LPA observed the classroom to have a separate napping area with a total of 13 cribs. During this inspection, LPA observed 7 infants with 3 staff members in the Lullaby Room and 12 infants with 3 staff members on the Infant Indoor / Outdoor Play area. The facility was observed to be operating within its licensed capacity.
There is adequate shade in the indoor / outdoor play area. The play equipment was observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition as is free of hazards.
