An Annual Required Inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Timothy Fields and Reiko Jones. LPAs met with Site Supervisor Blanca Aldrete and was guided on a complete tour of the facility. Day Care operating hours are from 6:30am - 6pm, Monday - Friday. The Preschool program operates 8:45am - 12pm, Monday - Friday. One classroom is used to operate the program.

Meal are delivered daily from an outside vender. The kitchen was observed to clean and food was in good quality. The menu was available for review. Prescription medication is administered to children in care. There were no children currently taking medication. When necessary, medication is storied in the refrigerator or site supervisor's office. The office is also used as an isolated area for sick children.

Upon arrival LPAs observed 13 children supervised one teacher and one teacher assistant in the classroom and 16 children supervised by one teacher and one teacher assistant on the playground. The classroom was inspected for cleanliness and good repair. LPA observed age appropriate toys and equipment. Carpets were sufficiently clean. LPA observed a source of drinking water.

Children individual storage space along with sleeping equipment was inspected. First aid kits were inventoried and the sign - in/out sheets were reviewed. Two bathrooms are used by children in care. Each were observed to be in operable condition. LPA advised Site Supervisor to station the changing table within arms reach of a sink.

Outdoor area and equipment was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. Required shade and fencing were inspected. Play area was inspected for hazards and inaccessibility to bodies of water. Teacher child ratios were observed and staff names recorded.

Children records were reviewed for completeness including but not limited to verification of CPR/First Aid. Review of required forms was made. Staff files were not on site. They are kept at the main headquarters and will be reviewed at a different time.

This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. For IMS information, see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. After a complete inspection of the facility, there were no deficiencies observed according to California Code of Regulations Title 22 Division 12 during today's inspection.

Exit interview conducted with Site Supervisor. Appeal Rights provided and explained. Notice of Site Visit must be posted for (30) days. Failure to do so may result in a $100.00 civil penalty.
