25 | On 7/10/24 at 9:45 a.m. Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Claudia Kam conducted a case management visit at the above facility for the purpose of following up on a Unusual Incident Report (UIR) reported on 6/5/2024 to the department. Upon arrival, LPA met with director Sylvia Correa, who provided LPA a tour of the facility. LPA observed proper care and supervision. During todays visit there were 21 children present and 6 staff and administrator.
LPA completed review of parent handbook and center policy. Interviews were conducted with staff present at time of incident during today's visit. Based on interviews conducted staff and record reviewed, it appears that the facility had followed the centers policy which states that "lessons start at 8:30 am and that doors will be closed at 8:30 am. with no exceptions. Late drop off is allowed only until 10:00 am if and only if they have a doctors note." Interviews reflected that the staff did their best to remove the parent from the care area and keep her calm. Based on the available information it does not appear this incident was the result of a Title 22 violation for lack of care and supervision.
No deficiency was cited at this time. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the director, Sylvia Correa.
