25 | ANNUAL/RANDOM INSPECTION CONDUCTED IN ARMENIAN Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Anomeh Eivazian and Thelma Razo conducted an unannounced random inspection. LPAs met with licensee, Mariam Zograbyan who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present was Voskan Galstian, licensee's husband/assistant. There were 4 children present during this inspection. Ms. Zograbyan states that there are currently 11 children enrolled, children's roster was reviewed and is current. Disaster drill log was available, last drill was conducted on 12/27/19.
This is a one story home which consists of two units, 343 & 345. 343 & 345 units owner is licensee. Two units are connected to each other from the inside. The home consist of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, dining room, living room, day care room, front yard, backyard (fenced), storage, and converted garage. LPAs asked licensee to submit an updated facility sketch by 01/31/20.
The Children utilize 345 unit for child care which consists of 1 bedroom, 1 day care room, 1 bathroom, and backyard (fenced). There is an open wall heather in the day care room that was screened to prevent access. LPAs observed backyard is fenced to prevent access to the off limit areas in the backyard. Also, LPAs observed a safety gate was installed to the kitchen to prevent access to the kitchen. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: 343 unit which consists of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, living room, dining room. 1 kitchen in 345 unit, storage, converted garage in the backyard, front yard, and some part of backyard. There is a door in the day care room which opens to the 343 unit and licensee's son's bedroom. The licensee provides food for children in care.
All areas used by children were inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone, ventilation and heating. The licensee states that there are no poisons in the home. The licensee understands that any poisons must be locked with a key or combination lock. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, sharp objects and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children are inaccessible in all areas in the home.REPORT CONTINUES ON NEXT PAGE 1 of 3 |
