25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lissete Gonzalez conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility on 08/12/2021. LPA arrived at the facility at 12:31PM and met with Bridgette Lopez, Licensee who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. Also present during this inspection, was Daniel Lopez, Licensee’s Assistant. Per Licensee, there are 09 children currently enrolled. A current children’s roster was available for review. There were 07 children present upon arrival. Facility operating hours are 6:00a.m. to 5:30p.m.
This is a one story home which consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, front and back yard. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: the 4 bedrooms, the kitchen, one restroom, and the back yard. LPA toured all areas used by children during this visit. Areas used by the children are the living room, dining area adjacent to the kitchen, the restroom located next to the laundry room, and the front yard. There is a fire place in the living room that is screened/latched and inaccessible to children. The facility provides the food for the children. The Licensee understands that licensing staff may have access to off-limit areas during an inspection visit if necessary.
Individuals who reside in the home were noted and discussed. Per Licensee, they currently have two assistants. All adults present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in the licensed childcare home. Licensee states that there are no firearms stored in the home.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. There is telephone service via a cellphone that is used; the cellphone remains at the facility during hours of operation. There is ventilation and heating (air conditioner unit). Safe toys play equipment and materials were observed. LPA advised Licensee all children over the age of 2 and all staff must wear masks while indoors per Department of Public Health (DPH) Guidelines.
