25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Franchesca White conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility. LPA met with Janine Cooper, Licensee who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present during this inspection, was Isidora Popper, Licensee’s Assistant, and Maggie Marroquin. Per Licensee, there are 24 children that are currently enrolled on various schedules. A current children’s roster was available for review. There were 7 children present upon arrival.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, day care nap room, garage, front yard and backyard (fenced). LPA observed a back house with a different address 913 W. 56th. Parents enter the facility through the back door, down the right side of the house. Main care is provided in the back bedroom, kitchen and daycare nap room. The children use the bathroom located in the back bedroom. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (located in master bedroom) and garage (locked). The licensee provides food for children in care. Hours of operation are Mon-Sun 23 hours. Licensee was reminded that a child cannot be in care for a total of 24 hours.
The licensee states that 2 adults and 1 child currently live in the home. Per Licensee, she currently has two assistant. All adults present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in the licensed child care home. Licensee states that there are no firearms or weapons stored in the home.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. There is telephone service via a landline and a cellphone that is used and the stays at the facility during operation hours. There is ventilation and heating (central).
