25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Justin Dorsey met with licensee, Sonia Flores, who guided analyst on a tour of the home for an Annual inspection. Upon arrival LPA observed 10 children being supervised by licensee, Assistant #1 and Assistant #2. On 09/07/19 analyst and licensee toured the home, all on limit rooms per facility sketch were inspected. This is a two story, four-bedroom, four bathroom home with kitchen, dining room and living room (located upstairs). The home has a pool on the premises, LPA observed that the pool met all requirements per Title 22 regulations.
The following areas are used for day-care. Main care is provided in one of the homes bedrooms (first room on the right when entering home). LPA observed a door separating the main care area from the rest of the house. Children use the bathroom located in the main care area. LPA inspected bathroom for safety, LPA observed there were no cleaning compounds present in the bathroom at the time of inspection. Off limit areas include two of the home's bedrooms , the kitchen, dining room and living room (located upstairs). The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service (landline), heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, cleaning compounds (under kitchen sink with latch), and hazardous items (sharp knives top of counter) that can pose a danger to children. Facility roster complete and maintained current. Fire/earthquake drills current, last conducted 08/12/19. Children nap in main care area and one of the homes on limit rooms, LPA observed children napping in cribs and on cots. LPA observed napping equipment free of extra sheets, blankets and materials that obstructs the vision or airway of the child sleeping. LPA observed perimeter fencing, and backyard is free of miscellaneous debris/hazards. All trees, shrubs and plants are maintained.
