32 | For water drinking, licensee stated she provides filtered water, and each child has their own cup and are refilled as needed. The licensee stated the facility provides breakfast, lunch and p.m. snacks, dinner as needed and participates in a food program. Licensee stated she currently has no children who have allergies and there are currently no children on medication.
LPA Garcia entered the bathroom and observed the toilet, hand washing sink, hand soap and LPA observed the bottom sink cabinet secured with a child safety latch and did not observe hazard materials and observed the restroom to be in good condition.
LPA Garcia asked the licensee if there were any pets, poisons, firearms, weapons, or bodies of water. The licensee stated she 1 dog, no poisons and no bodies of water, no firearms, and no weapons. LPA did not observe pets, poisons, firearms, weapons, nor bodies of water. The license was informed that if any poisons (ex; Drano, rat poison or items that fall into that category), firearms and weapons are purchased, it is required to be locked with a key or combination lock and firearm and ammunition must be stored separately. Per licensee, the dog does not come into contact with the children and is kept in the backyard that is off limits to the children.
LPA Garcia observed the required 2A10BC fire extinguisher located in the daycare room and the valve on the green area indicating fully charged and purchase on May, 2025. LPA observed the dual carbon monoxide detector, located in the daycare room. Licensee tested the dual alarm. LPA Garcia heard the sounds and are operable. LPA observed the first aid complete with band aids, gauzes, adhesive bandages, and antiseptic wipes and located in the hallway storage. For ill isolation, licensee stated she utilize a corner of the daycare room. Drill log was observed to be current and complete.
LPA Garcia inspected the play outdoor (front yard) area that is utilized by children for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. LPA observed the front yard to be fenced and rolling metal gate closed and with a hinge lock that is out the children’s reach. LPA observed the play equipment to be age appropriate and in a safe condition, free of sharp, no lose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards (concrete and artificial turf). Climbing equipment was observed to be placed over artificial turf and may help cushion a fall. For outdoor water drinking, children bring out their cups and refill as needed.
