Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dayna Chambers conducted an unannounced complaint inspection to deliver findings for the above allegation. LPA met with Alexis Vazquez, Director, who3assisted with the inspection. Also present today was Cheryl Ichikawa, Assistant Director. There were 3 infants in care today.

Based on interviews conducted and information obtained, the allegation regarding physical plant/facility - does not provide a safe environment for children; the above allegation is unsubstantiated. LPA observed during several visits to the facility that the facility has a security door bell outside the center on left side of door. The security bell alerts staff. The classrooms are enclosed with glass windows on each side of the hallway. These classrooms are secured and locked.

The Director’s desk is directly facing the front entry way. Facility staff and a grandparent were able to intervene an intruder from accessing the facility by escorting him out. No children in care were involved in this incident. Therefore, the above allegation is unsubstantiated.

Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore these allegations are unsubstantiated. Exit interview conducted with Alexis Vazquez, Director.
