25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lissete Gonzalez conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 05/06/2022 at 9:07AM. LPA met with Cathy Gaeta, Site Supervisor. LPA provided Cathy with a copy of the Entrance Checklist for Child Care Centers form (LIC 125). Site Supervisor then guided LPA on a tour of the facility. This is an Early Head Start infant program with a toddler option that consists of nine (09) classrooms. Infant classrooms consist of Room #5, Room #7, and Room #9. Toddler classrooms consist of Room #1, Room #2, Room #3, Room #12, Room #13, and Room #14. Facility operating hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30AM to 5:30PM. At 12:30PM, Araceli Brion, Education Coordinator, arrived to the facility to conclude the inspection.
All areas identified on the Facility Sketch were inspected. Upon arrival, the following staff were present during this inspection; Infant Room#5: Currently closed; Infant Room #7: Staff #1, Staff #2, and Staff #3 with 5 infants; Infant Room #9: Currently closed; Toddler Room #1: Staff #4 and Staff #5 with 5 toddlers; Toddler Room #2: Staff #6 with 3 toddlers; Toddler Room #3: Staff #7 with 4 toddlers; Toddler Room #12 (split classroom): Staff #8, Staff #9 with 5 toddlers and Staff #10 and Staff #11 with 5 toddlers; Toddler Room #13: Staff #12, Staff #13, and Staff #14 with 7 toddlers; and Toddler Room #14: Staff #15 and Staff #16 with 8 toddlers. The facility was observed to be within the license capacity and limitations. The following was observed during the tour of the facility:
PHYSICAL PLANT
Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. Children have their own cubby to store their belongings. Linens are washed by an outside vendor each week or as needed. Napping equipment (cots) were observed to be stored in a cabinet within the classroom. Age appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability and good repair in all restrooms.
