25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Seung Lee and Bardo Baluyot conducted an unannounced case management inspection. Upon arrival LPAs met with assistant director Ariel Chen. The purpose of the inspection was to inspect the new room for a pending capacity increase application. The facility is adding an additional room to the infant license.
During the inspection LPAs measured the new room. The outside play space for the infant program has not been expanded. The new room was observed to have age appropriate toys and equipment. Room has overhead lighting and windows. LPAs observed a changing table with a sink on the other side. The assistant Director stated that this room will be used by the older infants that will nap on cots inside this room.
The new room was part of the existing preschool license. The facility has submitted an application to decrease the capacity of the preschool since this room was part of the old capacity. The room was measured for a total of 863.71 sqft which allows for 24 children in the room. The outside play space allows for a total of 19 children. Fire clearance has been approved and been received by the regional office. The facility stated that it will submit a waiver request for a staggered outside play schedule. LPAs advised the facility on what to include in the waiver request and the application process moving forward.
The applicant was advised that this report along with the application will be submitted for a final review and approval,. The facility understands that it cannot operate under the new capacity until the application and waiver request have been approved.

The notice of site inspection must remain posted for a period of 30 days during hours of operation. Failure to maintain posting will result in a civil penalty of $100.00 dollars.
