32 | According to the Coordinating Teacher, medication is only administered to a child when accompanied with a doctor's note and is stored in a locked box in the classroom. The facility was observed to be equipped with an isolation area for any child who becomes ill and it is located in the nurse's office.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. LPA advised the Program Coordinator to access forms, regulations and quarterly updates on the Child Care Licensing website at: www.ccld.ca.gov. LPA provided the Program Coordinator with a copy of the Effects of Lead Exposure form during the inspection and discussed the following Provider Information Notices (PINs) Required Lead Testing: PIN 20-01 CCP Effects of Lead Exposure, and Guardian User Account Access - PIN 20-20-CCLD.
There were no deficiencies cited during today’s inspection.
The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Exit interview was conducted with Cristabel Rodriguez, Program Coordinator, and Nancy Perez, Coordinating Teacher, including, but not limited to Provider Rights, Appeal Procedures and Agencies Consultative Role.
