25 | This was a Case Management inspection conducted by Susann Sanchez, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA). Due to COVID-19 and precautionary measures inspection was a tele- inspection using Facetime. This pre-licensing was conducted with Licensee Anita Dickerson. Purpose of this inspection is because Licensee wants a large license. During this tele-inspection the applicant took LPA on a virtual tour of the home. Applicant applied for a small family child care license. Per Applicant, her operating hours will be Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Applicant states she wants to care for children from 0 to 12 years of age.
All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. This is a one story home consisting of four bedrooms, two bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining area, garage, front yard, and back yard. The following areas are used for day care are: living room, one bathroom (down the hallway), dining area, one bedroom (isolation room), kitchen and backyard. Off limit areas include: The three other bedrooms, garage, and front yard. All off limit areas and inaccessible by barrier or child locks. The home was inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. Per applicant, there are no dual licenses at this address. LPA observed age appropriate toys and napping equipment for children.
OUTDOOR PLAY AREA: The children will use the back yard for outdoor play, which was observed to be fenced. Applicant also stated that children will be physically and visually supervised at all times.
The value on the 2A10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and was serviced on 01/21/2021. This home has first aid kits. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors was tested and are operable.
The applicant states that they will provide food for children. Per Licensee, there are no firearms, weapons or bodies of water on the premises. There are three dogs in this home. |
